Temptations and relationships ...our relationship with God is most important, and often to be obedient to Him, we should strive to give up of self ...difficult as it may seem.

Worker's unions were often established so the establishment didn't bully the workers.  Working together and having satisfied workers is a common goal. The Gospel According to Matthew tells of a parable Jesus told about a laborer who agreed in the early morning to work for a certain amount ...yet, felt it was unfair that those who worked one hour should get the same wages as those who worked twelve hours.  We know man's ways are different than God's ...and the wages of sin is mostly our labors, so this is a good salvation message.

(http://canwedefinethatwhichisnotourstodefine.blogspot.com/) ...Is marriage simply when two people love one another???  (Some of you may wonder why marriage is in the 'relationship' section, and not the 'love' section ...well, that's because that is where the majority of people place it, substituting true love for what they feel it is.  And that misunderstanding has caused so many problems ...well, I feel it must be discussed.)

(http://likethemlegallyorlovethemcommittedly.blogspot.com/) ...________More on marriage________

(http://maybemorethanyouthink.blogspot.com/) ...Marriage may be more than we think ...and we should certainly encourage each other to think. (Yes, there cannot be a divorce unless there is a marriage first.  Unless we are not talking about marriage, but instead, a divorce of ideas ...which also applies to marriage difficulties, since it is the wayward ideas which often lead to those difficulties.  Is the idea that you once loved each other, now decided that you don't??)

Much related to those thoughts, but coming from a slightly different perspective ...let's look at intimacy.  Intimacy is defined as being close to another in a way that is private and personal.  Most of us quickly picture that in our mind in one way, but how about viewing arguments and disagreements that way.  Violent behavior should not be kept private and personal, but arguments and disagreements mostly do not lead to criminal behavior.  Should arguments be kept private and personal? When someone gets upset, one of the first things a person wants to do is let someone know ...and the general feelings can often turn into details that are more emotion-filled than fact-filled.  The person we tell our emotions to can then tell others, and we have no idea how far it may go.  Then, if the two of you make amends ...so much more may need mending.  If you keep the intimacy of disagreements private and personal, then you may both be relieved that you perhaps didn't behave immaturely in front of others, nor that you were part at fault for the rumor mill or gossip gang.

And yes, I'm thankful that God does not make public all of my shortcomings each day.  Even more amazing, He loves me even if I make the top ten list on occasion. But, there is no list ...and I don't want to be partly responsible for starting one on someone else either.

(http://doyouliveintheshowmestate.blogspot.com/) ...I'm not from Missouri, the 'Show-Me' state ...but you may be.

(http://blistersonthehandsyetblissinyourheart.blogspot.com/) ...The two become one ...................

(http://thisisnotjustabatchofmylore.blogspot.com/) ...I always hated the concept of the bachelor's party ...  (In another sense, we are supposed to be preparing ourselves as the bribe of Christ, yet we flirt with the world ...its ways, and seldom challenged intellect.)

In the Old Testament of the Bible, we read about how only a priest was to enter the Holy of Holies ...and they had to seriously consider: the significance, utmost importance, and sacredness of that area.

God's sacredness was not to be taken lightly ...and it still is to be that way in our lives.

God is holy ...we are not.

But, God gives us direction.  And we are to realize that god has set aside things that st us apart ...acknowledging His holiness.  Things are not holy in and of themselves ...it is not just a standard, but a reverence towards the One who set the standard, and to what He says it is to be.

God has set apart marriage to be sacred ...and man is to look upon woman in the way God has set it up to be.  Only the priest was allowed to enter the sacred area specified to God's standards ...and only the husband is to become 'one' with his wife.

There were many designated areas set up to give a place of honoring to false deities ...just as people are not loyal or obedient to following God's standards, and they toy with the emotions of others in relationships they should not have.

Also, if marriage was what it's supposed to be ...there would be no consensual sexual relations outside of it.  A child conceived within a marriage is part of the sanctity of the relationship.

If you live this way ...you may be like that flower, attempting to stand in a heavily trodden pathway.  But, if you stand, you blossom ...and perhaps the seeds within you will spread.  And who knows, perhaps there will be those who slow down and even stop to smell the roses ...or daisies.

(Well, 'for whom the bell tolls ...' stated in a sermon by John Donne, but I'm not done.   And yes, in a matter of speaking, there is a different sort of TOL that I opted to put into perspective.)

I digress here, to make another point ...and hopefully our youth can follow, as I navigate onto another topic that you may wish I would stop mentioning.

Yet, I keep hearing about it ...and since it won't go away, I feel I shouldn't either.

(This subject may not belong in the 'relationships' section ...yet, friends have had rather intense debates over it.  I do repeat examples of absurdities as a measuring stick of where we are at ...and since I did mention it in the next listed blog, instead of just mentioning it, I will give you a few more stats that somehow don't line up with the stats we've been fed.  I'll just let you digest them.)

(http://whydowegamblewithourlives.blogspot.com/) ...Gambling facilities want you to win a little and lose big ...otherwise where is the profit??

I did a science experiment with the children ...placing an ice cube into a clear glass and filling the glass to the very top with water.  It is documented that over 90% of an iceberg is below the surface.

Yes, this point may not be very substantial to you ...but as the saying goes, "It's only the tip of the iceberg."

And as is beneficial to do with many things ...we can look below the surface.  But, before we can see clearly ...often people begin to have a meltdown, and then can never see what was actually there.

What I say ...now
That we don't plow

On the mountaintops, roofs, & trees
At least that's what you & me sees

Ice & snow
Doesn't flow
It moves slow

Unless off a broken branch
Or from an avalanche

Okay, here's the claimed stats:  29% of the earth is covered by land ...of which 10% of that land surface is covered by snow and ice.  The difference between snow and ice, is that ten gallons of snow will (on average) yield one gallon of water.  The harder the snow is packed, the more water it will yield ...ice being the most densely packed.  But, the unique characteristic of water ---which makes it different than most substances ---is that when in the solid state, water does not become denser. And neither should we be ...by ignoring this solid fact.

The experiment that the children and I did with the ice cube in the glass of water ...showed that the water level within the glass stayed relatively the same when the ice cube melted.  (You can do this experiment yourself, but I must say I used Michigan ice ...and perhaps you should consider that in our part of the country we have a bit more of experience with ice and snow.)

Now, the experiment I mentioned becomes relevant in looking at sea ice ...which would be like the ice cube in the glass.  The stats claimed that oceans make up 71% of the earth's surface (and contains 97% of the earth's water).  Sea ice covers approximately 15% of the oceans.  So, that would be nearly 4 times as much surface area on the earth covered by sea ice than by land ice and snow ...and not to forget that the iceberg is over 90% under the surface.  I conclude that since at least 4 times that amount of sea ice is already in the ocean (affected by global warming?), it would not affect the ocean level.  So, what of those photos of those poor polar bears stranded on a shrinking chuck of ice ...well, why should that be a concern since they are some of the best swimmers, one study reporting that one bear swam over 200 miles. (Perhaps to have its picture taken by Al Gore, who perhaps didn't want to venture too far out into the cold.)

The amount melted from the land and traveling to the sea being only a fraction (averaging 10 gallons to 1 gallon conversion), 10% of 29% (or less than 3% to my calculations) of the earth's surface ...would not all end up in the oceans. High altitudes are still cold, and would retain the ice and snow ...with perhaps an increase in temperature on the lower slopes would allow the frozen ground to now absorb water, and inland lakes would be formed, providing irrigation for arid lands, and drinking water for dry regions.  Farming would improve also, along with more potential for hydroelectric power.  In my estimation, that would balance out the benefits and hardships from any mild adjustments that would have to be made. If people fear New York City will flood ...perhaps they can make Wall Street bigger. And I usually hear that New Yorkers fear very little ...and adjust, as do most intelligent and prosperous people. My conclusion is that none of this would affect the sea levels to any degree worth making such a fuss over.

So, look someplace else to attempt the Chicken Little scare tactics ...the sky isn't falling, and neither are the oceans rising to any alarming extent.  If you simply want to say the earth is getting warmer, we in Michigan will smile when you say that ...but you will not be getting any closer, and as they say, "You're getting colder!"

Or you can scroll down to the 'Attitude' section to read about 'A Superior attitude ...'

(http://peekabooanddonotseeyou.blogspot.com/) ...It only depends how you look at it ...

And one more note, which is one of my repetitive ones, but not a repetitive as the comments that compel me to repeat my statement.
The Book of Revelation tells us how the earth will meet its end, and it is not how it is mostly being publicized politically. It is not about how we treat the earth, but how we view Him who has created it. The real danger is how we are polluting our minds.

(https://foolmeonceshameonyoudisception.blogspot.com/) ...Are there circumstances where you'd consider telling a lie to others??  Or what if others lied...

(http://insightorouttasight.blogspot.com/) ...'Fight or flight' ...we all react, and at times need to. But, life should not be only two options.  (Yes, we may be tempted to react this way.  Politics is opinions on how we conduct our lives ...and when we disagree, we often disagree strongly.  We are disappointed ...beyond disappointment.  On others, we place fault, guilt, and shame ...and we label them. We should be able to have our opinion without all this labeling and name-calling. Maturity leads us not into that temptation.)

And though this may all be more correctly placed in a political section, it seems that politics has become a crutch to support our temptations and the succumbing to them. It used to be honorable to expose the truth, but now people act like it is almost treasonous. The truth is more often sought where it is not ...as emotion way too often defines the claimed truth.

What started out as a single book, 'So Loved ...', then became a trilogy. Now totaling four books ...I found it worth my while to list each synopsis here. Well, at least one of them is not a synopsis ...but, bear with me. That was the end of my books. Afterwards came the blogs, which I will attempt to categorize.

This beginning section was a way to 'save', and a workspace for the books I was working on. They are now published, not under my pen name as I am using here, but under my known birth name of Stephen Meiner. They are available for 'Print on Demand' at Barnes & Noble. If you know me, you probably know how to contact me ...or some member of my family. I also added 'Chain-Link Fences' to the titles listed here. And the Evolution of Confusion was a bit long, so I felt it was better to publish it in 5 parts. I always prefer the hard copies, instead of reading the computer screen (though I was able to include a few more pictures here that are relevant to the stories, especially 'So Loved ...) ---and also, for the hard copies Draft2Digital was able to give me bold print for easier reading, then they allowed me to list it out to other book outlets, so they can work with those who work with 'Print on Demand'. I'm not good ...actually I'm quite poor with promoting myself, and also have no funds to pay someone else to do it (which is fine). I don't want to be like those little girls selling Girl Scout Cookies, where you feel guilty if you don't help the little girl (not criticizing that, it's just not me, and I would not sell girl stuff ...and couldn't even see myself ever pushing any of my two daughters to do it ...though they are good cookies). If you are going to buy any of my books I want it to be because you like to read, are interested in reading my book, and feel it is worth reading (and perhaps if you feel the same way after reading my first book, you can tell others). And I do have nine books out ---'nein' in German means, 'No!', and I will not be hurt if you say 'No!' And 'mein' means 'my' (Das ist mein Buch) ---but it's not like the seagulls in 'Finding Nemo', where they are all saying, "Mine, mine, mine ...mine". I am willing to share 'my' books. But, again ...I do not want anyone to feel obliged to say, 'Yes'. And I am saying, "No! No Girl Scout Cookie sales strategy ...please!"

Okay, now ten books ---I just added 'We Should Also Love One Another', in October 2023. That is nine this year, and 'So Loved ...' in December 2022.

If you do by chance come across this blog, and are able to read it without any warnings of 'not secure site' coming up, (when I often saw 'not secure site', I felt they were either telling me it was unsecure ...or were they talking about my personality, of me being insecure. Whatever the case, I can laugh about it) ---and that aside, I now want to show my appreciation to Draft2Digital, not only with their making publishing possible for me, but also for all the free help and loving guidance when I needed assistance.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

So Loved ...   http://solovedsynopsis.blogspot.com/

So Loved…

In recent years, much has been revealed as to the horrors and abuses that take place on a regular basis, though in the past have seldom been reported.  I have had a slightly different perspective, but others have told me that my employment at a mental institution and then at a prison has given me a much darker view of life than what the majority of people experience in their daily lives.  But, sadly, my writing has become more relevant ...and a much more accurate disappointing reality.
(https://sometimesanovelidea.blogspot.com/) ...Must we have both the knowledge of good & evil???

Some say that ignorance is bliss ...but, that's not the impression I get when I read the Bible.  Yet, though no person may want to be denied their thoughts (or choices) ...it is my belief that everyone should be aware of God's thoughts.

You may say that is not possible, as God is infinitely omniscient ...and also omnipresent, knowing and understanding beyond our comprehension, so how can we hope to even begin to understand Him.  And you are right ...in contrast, we barely know anything at all.  But, we have what God has chosen for us to know ...in the Bible.

I've tried to make some rhyme ...but, mostly tried to reason out the events in my life.  And I've tried to understand why things have been made known to me ...working in a Mental Hospital, and also a prison.  Perhaps much of these four stories were my attempts to cope with those often difficult revelations ...and the struggle for understanding & reason, and even sanity at times. Be as it may, the story follows  this progression:

Sometimes a tired person also needs to unwind ...to relax, and bring the mind to a more peaceful state before falling asleep.  Better to fall asleep relaxed ...than tense.   Sometimes a bit of ice cream does the trick.

(Also notice the galactic swirl ...similar to that on the car tire.)

It should be no mystery as to how I could have come up with the design for the book, The Evolution of Confusion. But, if you still don't get it ...perhaps it would serve you well to either have a little ice cream, or to sleep on it (the idea, not the ice cream).

(http://doublecheckmatey.blogspot.com/) ...A Tale of Two Pirates ...

(http://ayemateycaptainknot.blogspot.com/) ..........Aye Matey (Sometimes things in our lives, like plans that we have which might seem interesting for the time, just don't seem to go in the direction we thought they would.  We may have to reassess, and change or even abandon those plans ...but, never should we abandon the people involved.  If the people are without a doubt dangerous ...we still don't abandon them, we pray for them.  This experiment here ...well, I've abandoned it.  The 'Aye Matey' trial is over ...so don't look for it.  But, you can still pray for me.)

(http://onlytheswashbucklingrandestvideos.blogspot.com/) ...........Aye Matey, ye a-r-r here now!! Ye made it!!        (No, there isn't anyone here ...and can't make anything, not even make trouble.)

Sure, I got jokes ...and I got stories. Perhaps neither of them are very good. But, I am also serious ...and there is much there which is very good.

(http://whosegotjokes.blogspot.com/) ..."I got jokes!" (but, don't let my shortcomings there ...define my seriousness of God's character)

(http://notloudenoughtohear.blogspot.com/) ...LOL with someone ...but, perhaps it's best not to laugh at someone   (Be careful where you bank, but I'm not banking on a laugh here.)

(http://neverjestatthebestortheless.blogspot.com/) ...It's good to strive to do your best ...but, 'best' is not defined by most desired. (And laughter is a part of life, but it's not all there is ...nor is it all about obtaining our particular version of happiness.  True happiness is everlasting ...and wouldn't we wish that for everyone??)

(http://repeatthesooundingjoy.blogspot.com/) ...I may be repeating some things I've already said, but some things bear repeating.

(I also like to make reference to stories I've enjoyed that are not my own ...and few are my own.)
(http://leadahorsetowaterbutcannotmakewrite.blogspot.com/) ...??????__Written by  ...and for who__???????  (Yes, at times we are just supposed to enjoy the 'Spirit' of it ...in this case, it is capitalized because it is a name of a horse.  In the Bible, there are over 200 references to horses.  With nearly 300 references to angels, whether angels or the aforementioned horses, they both do not tell their story, but are a part of the story of us humans ...whom the Bible was written for.}

(http://itdoesnotcrrumbleitisdelicious.blogspot.com/) ...The Cookie Caper ...that's not always the way it crumbles.

(http://faithmaynotbewhatwethinkitis.blogspot.com/) ...Faith ...besides being a 'Top Ten' girl's name, how do we view it?? ---(Well, we can have jokes, and we can share jokes we've heard ...and rarely is it our original joke.  I hear jokes, like the ones listed hear, in church.  Church is not a joke, but one or two can help a group of people who rushed to get there ...to settle down, and relax.  And then serious things are brought up ...like the subject of 'faith' which I'm addressing somewhat here.)
