Not interested in politics ...well, that statement is rather disingenuous as most everyone seems to have an opinion, and few fail to express it. That's what most of us do fairly often, if not fairly. And politics is the conduct of, or participation in government. Whether we like it or not, and whether we'd like to say it's not someone else's business ...most of us do not live isolated from all of civilization, so we do interact with others. To direct, guide, or manage the well-being of a community of people (or a township, county, or rural area), is actually termed governing. We often experience how persons in a large group find it potentially more difficult to get along than in a small group. We often don't have as much motivation to get along in larger groups ...as we more readily seek what benefits ourselves, perhaps in fear our voice will not be heard nor our needs met. That's probably the root of why politics causes such a stir ...as we cannot often 'agree' as to what is well and good.

(Yes, Ben Carson ...though many of you have laughed, being more than just critical of what he says, to my estimation he has shown in his life the ability to admit and correct his mistakes.  And he gives God the credit for when he overcame difficult circumstances to excel with knowledge and wisdom.) When my candidate did not get the nomination, I did not immediately become bitter and protest.  

I can take things very seriously ...but, I can also laugh at things.  Often I try to point out what I think are absurdities ...hoping you can see the point I'm trying to make.)

Okay, this appears to be one of those cases.  I have dealt with many patients in the mental health field, and I believe I was one of the more sensitive workers.  I really listened, but I also was real with them ...in the kindest way I could be.  You couldn't read this far, unless you are a bit stable, so I'm going to risk making another of my points, as follows:

Do you call the MPD for MPD??  That's to say, do you call the Metropolitan Police Department for Multiple Personality Disorder?  Or should we be more sensitive, taking the recent transgender political stance?   Suppose a person with Multiple Personality Disorder, clinically called Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) ...suppose that man with DID, did want to get on a plane.  He bought one ticket, but then occupied three seats ...insisting he was sitting in all three of them.  Do you lock him up, saying he's crazy? Or do you change the airline policy??

Kim Noble, who has been on the Oprah Winfrey Show, has been diagnosed with 100 personalities, which mostly all get along.  She should get the Noble (Nobel) Peace Prize for that one ...as most of us have some difficulty with dealing with a half dozen or so coworkers.  

Should Kim be able to leave the house ...and if so, should she have the same allowances that transgenders want, having someone posted outside the bathroom, ready to switch the sign on the door if suddenly she switches from Patricia to Ken??

This may sound absurd, and Kim herself (as Patricia) felt it was absurd to say she had multiple personalities ...as she only felt she had one, the one she claimed to be at that precise time.  This is not absurd to me ...as I consider Kim a hero.  It is not only truly remarkable how she has coped, but also, unbelievably, she had somehow become aware of a paedophile ring. After she reported it to the police, she received many threats.  On one occasion she had acid thrown in her face, and on another occasion they set her bed on fire ...with her in it!!  She escaped, only to watch her house burn ...and not understanding what was going on.  (Not much different from articles I've read with the violent abuses that take place under Shariah Law.)

Schizophrenia is often confused with MPD or DID, but there are differences.
Early warning signs of schizophrenia include:

• Hearing or seeing something that isn’t there
• A constant feeling of being watched
• Peculiar or nonsensical way of speaking 
• Strange body positioning
• Feeling indifferent to very important situations
• A change in personal hygiene and appearance
• A change in personality
• Irrational, angry or fearful response to loved ones
• Inability to sleep or concentrate
• Extreme preoccupation with religion

But, these are also warning signs observed between spouses, often just before a divorce.
