Okay, where is our hope for the future?? This is not a political issue, as some people would like to make it out to be. We don't get to vote, or even intellectually decide how it will be. Yes, we do need to approach this life with hope ...and to a certain extent we may contribute a lot, as to the way our rather near future will be here on earth. But, let's look at our afterlife:

Yet, the kid in me also imagines the tree house ...and perhaps like clouds forming the sky, with a ladder to climb up to the next level. (Genesis, Chapter 28 ---"behold a ladder set up, and the top reaching up to heaven; and the angels of God ascending and descending on it.") Of course, that is not my interpretation ...just my childish imagination and excitement.  As also would be if I were to ascend multiple ladders, perhaps to cloud nine ...or maybe there'd be only seven levels, as some religions espouse. First Corinthians, Chapter 12, speaks of a third heaven ...but, of course, with such a large area, it would be like finding a needle in a haystack, as I'd have to be in the exact area to even see a ladder, let alone be able to climb to a former or latter level. Yes, that would be fun exploring ...but, I have to try to be more down to earth at this point. And it's best to enjoy the facts, and holding a bit of a rein on any claim to my imagination. I can enjoy my imagination, yet be a bit disturbed by someone else's, and the same can perhaps be true of you ...so, it is best we can all enjoy the facts, and truth about Jesus.
